In addition to the biological and physical science courses listed above, the following courses from the Auburn University Core Requirements are required of applicants who will not have a 4-year degree by June 15^th. If you will have a 4-year degree by June 15^th in the year that you enroll in the DVM program (not the year the year in which you submit your application) the Auburn University Core Requirements will be considered complete with your bachelor’s degree.

*Science electives must be two of the following: anatomy & physiology (human or animal), animal nutrition, cellular biology, genetics, microbiology, physics II, comparative anatomy, histology, reproductive physiology, physiology (human or animal), parasitology, embryology, or immunology.
** Students must complete a 6-semester-hour sequence either in literature or in history.
Requirements marked with “#” will be waived for applicants who hold a bachelor’s degree. If an applicant has completed or will complete a 4-year bachelor’s degree by June 15th prior to the August matriculation, the requirements marked with a single “#” will be waived. Only applicants without a 4-year degree will need to provide proof of meeting the courses indicated with “#”.
