Transcript Requirements
- AP Policy: AP credits must be applied to a specific course, either showing on the transcript or documented in a letter from the institution’s Registrar’s Office. CLEP (College-Level Examination Program) credits accepted only for the arts, humanities, and social sciences.
- International Transcripts: Accepted
- WES Report Required: Yes
  - - Foreign transcripts (including French-Canadian Institutions) must be evaluated by World Education Services (WES) and submitted to VMCAS. VMCAS requires a course-by-course evaluation from WES. It is recommended that transcript(s) be submitted to the translation service at least one month before the VMCAS deadline.
    - VMCAS does not require a WES from English-speaking Canadian institutions.
Test Requirements

  - Required of those for whom English is NOT their primary language
  - Students are exempted from the TOEFL requirement if English is their primary language, if they have recently earned a degree from a university in an English speaking country, or if they are residents of an American Protectorate (i.e. Puerto Rico). However, a strong command of the English language is required to succeed in the veterinary curriculum.

- Minimum hours of experience: 200 hours quality experience. This includes experience in all or any one of the following areas: veterinary, animal, research. The quality of the experience is valued over the number of hours. We encourage applicants to have multiple types of experiences to broaden their knowledge of the veterinary profession.
